Thermo Fisher Scientific hires new VP/GM
December 2010
Chicago, IL - Treva Partners successfully completed an executive search on behalf of longtime client Thermo Fisher Scientific with the hiring of Kim Kelderman as Vice President and General Manager. In conducting this search, Treva Partners fielded a broad array of talented candidates from which Kim emerged as the clear leader. His responsibilities will include managing a global chromatography business poised for significant growth.
Before joining Thermo Fisher, Kim served as Senior Segment Leader (VP/GM) at Becton Dickinson, managing Vacutainer, a $500 million global, blood-containment business. While there, he was instrumental in driving top and bottom line growth. In 2005 Kim was recruited by GeneOhm, a start-up diagnostics platform company in San Diego, which BD acquired in 2006.
Originally from the Netherlands, Kim brings to his work a strong global perspective compatible with the growth plans of Thermo Fisher, including the sensitivity necessary to work with diverse cultures. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Heerlen Polytechnic in the Netherlands.
